In the town of Salliquel\u00f3, Buenos Aires province, in a ceremony headed by the Nation's President Alberto Fern\u00e1ndez, accompanied by the minister of Economy, Sergio Massa, the Interior minister Eduardo De Pedro, secretary of Energy Flavia Roy\u00f3n, and the president of Energy Argentina SA, Augustine Gerez was the signing of contracts for the construction of the civil works of the Pipeline, which President Nestor Kichner and additional works at its first stage.<\/p>\n
They also participated in the governor of the province of Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillof, the governor of Neuqu\u00e9n Omar Gutierrez, the governor of La Pampa Sergio Zilliotto and the lieutenant River Black Alexander Palmieri.<\/p>\n
Gerez led the signing of the contracts with the awarded companies TECHINT-SACDE, BTU and ESUCO corresponding to the five rows of the Stage 1, which includes the laying of a pipe of 36 inches in diameter and 583 kilometers between Vaca Muerta and Salliquel\u00f3, across the Rio Negro and La Pampa, in addition to complementary works such as the gas pipeline Mercedes-Cardales of 30 inches, and the enlargement of a section of the NEUBA II in the province of Buenos Aires.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are leading the transformation project more important that you have the Argentine Republic for the next 25 years we will finally consolidate the long-awaited energy sovereignty, which will be positioned not only as a central player in our region, but as a central actor for the rest of the world\u201d, noted the president of Energy of Argentina during their exposure.<\/p>\n
The Pipeline, as President N\u00e9stor Kirchner is a work strategic and historic that will allow to increase the production of Vaca Muerta, second reserves of unconventional gas in the world, and carry it to the consumption centers.<\/p>\n
This work will save 2,200 million dollars a year in replacement of the import of fuels and reduction of subsidies, and an increase in the availability of gas at competitive prices to industry, businesses and households.
