WITH THE TRANSFER OF THE FIRST PIPE WAS LAID IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE PIPELINE, AS PRESIDENT NÉSTOR KIRCHNER

The minister of Economy, Sergio Massa, and the holder of Power in Argentina, Augustine Gerez, led today in Bell, an act which gave the initial kick to the transfer of more than 7,400 pipes for the Pipeline, as President Néstor Kirchner and complementary works.

“Today, we're taking the first step operating towards a change in the array economic argentina,” said Massa during the event that also involved the u.s. secretary of Energy, Flavia Royon, the holder of the AFIP, Carlos Castagneto, the assistant manager of Energy Argentina, Gaston Leydet, and the secretary of Municipalities, Avelino Zurro.

“When we finish our Plan Gas 4 and Plan Gas 5 to fill the pipeline, we are going to face the coming winter saving us more than 2.920 millions of dollars of taxes of the argentines. We hope that those dollars that today we use to import energy, begin to use for intermediate goods in order to sustain the production and work, and that allows us to autoabastecernos and sell energy to the world,” said the minister of Economy.

“The challenge is that the matrix of energy development to become a State policy in Argentina and change is definitely the array of economic, to have a GDP that has on the axes exporters energy, minerals, and the knowledge economy, and the agro-business; the four pillars of the growth of the next 10 years in Argentina,” he concluded.

For its part, Gerez, considered that “the construction of the gas pipeline is a work of transformation in Argentina, will allow us to access to energy at competitive prices, create jobs, substitute imports and generate foreign exchange”.
