Energy Argentina signed an agreement with the government of Santa Cruz for their students to perform trainings, and guided tours of the dam Néstor Kirchner and Jorge Cepernic, with the purpose of strengthening the educational offer of the province.
The agreement was signed by María Cecilia Velazquez, president of the Provincial Council of Education, and Augustine Gerez, president of Energy Argentina, and endorsed by the governor Alicia Kirchner in the House of the Province of Santa Cruz located in the City of Buenos Aires. Also participated Gaston Leydet, deputy general manager of Energy Argentina, Mario Metaza and Victor Bronstein, director of Energy Argentina.
This agreement will allow students to santacruceños, especially the Technical Schools, they can expand their educational offerings and enrich their knowledge with training and visits to the works of the dams built in the Patagonia, due to the relevance that it has for the region the project of Hydro power stations on the Santa Cruz River.
The dams Néstor Kirchner and Jorge Cepernic represent a source of work genuine for the province, in addition to providing the possibility of generating 1.310 MW of clean energy that will be connected to the System Argentine Interconnection, to reach across the country.
