We do today the call for a Public Tender for the construction of the pipeline, as President Néstor Kirchner, a work which is strategic for our country to increase by 25 percent the capacity of the transportation system for natural gas and help you develop the increased production in Vaca Muerta.
The pipeline will have a length of 563 kilometres from the town neuquén of Tratayén and Salliqueló in the west of the province of Buenos Aires, crossing the Rio Negro and La Pampa. The project also includes additional works such as the gas pipeline Mercedes-Cardales.
This landmark is located within the actions being carried out by Energy Argentina for the achievement of the objectives proposed in the framework of the Decree 76/2022 as are the provision of pipelines, environmental impact studies, and processes for the procurement of goods complementary to the commissioning of the gas pipeline.
The President of Energy of Argentina, Dr. Augustine Gerez said “We are moving forward with the transformation project that will set the course of our country for the next 25 years.”
He also stressed that “The construction of this gas pipeline is part of the recovery that moves in Argentina and we are proud to be part of building the future assuming this task with responsibility and dedication.”
Finally, he expressed that “The bidding process provides for its culmination during the month of August of 2022, thereby complying with the timelines originally established.”
