The reversal of the Pipeline North, the work that allows you to carry the gas from Vaca Muerta to the north of the country, witnessed a significant progress: completed welding in the regular line of sections 2 and 3.
This is the first 100 kilometers of the Pipeline of Federal Integration -on a total of 122 km - which extends Tío Pujio to La Carlota, in the province of Córdoba, linking Pipelines Center-West and the North.
To reduce the time of execution of the work, we used a system of automatic welding, a modern technology that not only allows you to perform a greater amount of welds by day, but at the same time minimizes errors, and gives predictability to the rhythm of production.
The last weld in the regular line is carried on the Sunday, may 26 at the 100 km of the gas Pipeline Tío Pujio - La Carlota, at the height of the village of Arroyo Cabral. In total were performed 4.059 welds in 41 days, setting records with up to 151 welds per day, which is equivalent to 3 km daily advance.
The works in these sections continue with works of junctions, joints, coating, trenching, slope and covered, in addition to testing with ultrasound, and then start the hydraulic tests.
In addition, the work progress with the construction of the remaining 22 km of that pipeline, 62 km from loops (extension) to the Pipeline North to the height of Ferreyra and the City of Córdoba and the change of direction 4 compressor plants, with a completion date of the works is scheduled for the end of August. At the moment we are working on the project more than 2 thousand people in a direct way.
It should be noted that the Reversal of the Pipeline North to take the gas from Vaca Muerta to the provinces of Córdoba, Tucumán, La Rioja, Catamarca, Santiago del Estero, Salta and Jujuy for generation of electrical energy, the supply of homes, industries, and the scale development of new activities such as the mining of lithium, in addition to export gas to countries in the region.
