The Pipeline Perito Francisco Pascacio Moreno is already fully operational and able to carry 11 million m3/day of natural gas from Vaca Muerta, after the completion of his process of filling and pressurization.
This process began on 20 June, in a progressive and incremental, and was carried out according to the deadlines and as usual to carry out this type of operations, taking into account the necessary security conditions.
“We are very proud to report that it has completed the filling of the Pipeline and is already operating,” said Augustine Gerez, president of Energy Argentina and stressed “the enormous effort made to complete the objective that we set out to do with this work that is fundamental to our country because it marks the beginning of a new stage with fewer imports and more work argentino”.
At the completion of the total load (line pack) with 25 million m3, the gas Pipeline Perito Francisco Pascacio Moreno can inject gas to the backbone network through the connection with the NEUBA II in Salliqueló, Buenos Aires province, from where it reaches to the centres of consumption.
The GPNK has an area of 573 kilometers between Tratayén and Salliqueló, crossing the provinces of Neuquén, Río Negro, La Pampa and Buenos Aires, and its construction used more of 47.700 pipe 12 meters long and 36 inches in diameter. The work was done in a record time of 10 months, when the usual for this type of entrepreneurship is that it requires 24 months.
The Pipeline Perito Francisco Pascacio Moreno is a work of critical and historical, planned and executed by Energy Argentina. that allows to increase the production of Cow's Dead (the second book of non-conventional gas in the world), expand the transport capacity of gas and get to the centers of consumption, generating an annual savings of 4,200 billion dollars per year in replacement of fuel imports.
