Opened the interconnection Mar del Plata and the expansion of Balcarce of the gas Pipeline to the Coast, benefiting 13,000 new users. In addition, it was announced the reactivation of the works in the compressor plant of The Weapons, which will allow for the expansion in the capacity of transport of natural gas for the benefit of 45 localities of the province of Buenos Aires.
These works, which are carried out by Energy Argentina, consisted of the laying of 21 km of gas pipeline booster 8 inches in diameter in Balcarce, and other 12 km of gas pipeline interconnection 16 inches in diameter in Mar del Plata, between the stations regulatory pressure to Winter and The Roof.
The new interconnectedness of Mar del Plata will enable the revenue to 10,000 new users of that locality and its surroundings. At the same time, thanks to the new loop of Balcarce they will also add an additional 3,000 new users.
At the same time, we reactivated the work of the Compressor Plant The Weapons, that consists in the assembly of 2 motocompresores of 1200 HP each, and of the elements necessary for its operation, which will boost the Pipeline of The Coast and will allow the enhancement of their capacity to transport natural gas.
The act, which was carried out in the pressure-regulating station Roof in Mar del Plata, counted with the presence of the secretary of Energy Flavia Royon, the executive director of ANSES Fernanda Raverta, the secretary of the Knowledge Economy Juan Manuel Cheppi, and the director of Works and Projects of Energy of Argentina Gaston Dalla Cia, who participated in a video conference with the minister of Economy Sergio Massa.
After the stoppage of the works in 2019, and from the impulse of the current management to its financing, the works were taken up for its early implementation.
With the completion of the remaining work on the pipeline reinforcement in Tandil (18 km at 20 inches in diameter), and enabling the plant to The Weapons, will be benefited in total 84.364 users distributed in Mar del Plata, Balcarce, Miramar, Villa Gesell, Guns, Mar Chiquita, Stack, and San Clemente del Tuyú, totaling well 45 localities benefited by the works of enlargement.
