The secretary of Energy of the Nation, Eduardo Rodríguez Chiriillo, along with the governor of the province of Neuquén, Rolando Figueroa and the president of Energy of Argentina, Juan Carlos Doncel Jones, launched the Compressor Plant Tratayén of the Pipeline Perito Francisco Pascacio Moreno.
“With this immense work we will be able to increase by 50% the capacity of the pipeline,” said the secretary of Energy, from the operating room of the new installation.
As scheduled, triggered a equipment 15,000 HP of power that will allow the Pipeline Perito Francisco Pascacio Moreno to transport 5 million cubic metres additional per day of gas, which will total at this stage a capacity of 16 MM m3/day.
Located at km 0 of the Pipeline Perito Francisco Pascacio Moreno, as part of the design of the gas pipeline, Compressor Plant Tratayén should have been operational since July of 2023. However, payment obligations not taken and other factors, resulted in a delay of your income to operations.
After touring the facilities of the plant, the authorities went to the control room to witness the process of ignition of the turbocharger. In this context, the secretary-Rodriguez Chirillo held “the enormous effort of the last six months, where they have all put all their commitment to us today to inaugurate this work and add more capacity to transport the gas from Vaca Muerta”.
For his part, the governor Figueroa said: “we Share a historical moment with the secretary Eduardo Rodriguez Chirillo. We see how the effort is translated into production to arrive with our gas to all of the Southern Cone”.
National and provincial authorities agreed value the commitment of both governments and companies involved in the project to speed up the pending work and to finally put into operation the plant. The tasks of construction and the process of completion of the work involved the generation of 360 jobs.
Among those attending the rating of the Compressor Plant Tratayén were also Ing. Rigoberto Mejia Aravena (Vice president of Energy Argentina S. A.) and the Ing. Carlos Casares (Auditor of Enargas).
In addition, participated Oscar Alvarez, Manager of Compressor Plants and Alejandro Barrientos both Energy Argentina SA and Managers of the construction company SACDE, Paul Brottier -Commercial Director - and Andrew Varela -Regional Manager - along with Directors of Transportadora de Gas del Sur, among others.
