The reversal of the direction of injection of the gas in 4 compressor plants existing in Córdoba, Santiago del Estero and Salta.
And the laying of two loops (expansions) parallel to the gas Pipeline North of 62 km of extension, with pipes of 30 inches in diameter.
In this regard, bids that are supported technically were the BTU and the UT TECHINT-SACDE.
The Reversal of the Pipeline the North, which is a complementary to the Pipeline, as President Néstor Kirchner, will carry gas from Vaca Muerta to the industries of Córdoba, Tucumán, La Rioja, Catamarca, Santiago del Estero, Salta and Jujuy, as well as the connection of households to the natural gas grid and the scale development of new industrial activities, especially the mining of lithium.
In addition to lowering the cost of electric generation and natural gas for industries of northern argentina, this strategic contract will allow for an annual savings of 1.960 million dollars for the replacement of gas imports.
