Energy Argentina carried forward today the signing of contracts with the UTE Techint-SACDE for the construction of two lines of the Reversal of the Pipeline North, the work that will transport gas from Vaca Muerta to the north of the country.
The event, held at the headquarters of the company, had the presence of Juan Carlos Doncel Jones, president of Energy Argentina, Rigoberto Mejia Aravena, vice president and Ximena Valle, Director of Legal. By Techint was attended by Mariano Rebollo and Alejo Calcagno, while SACDE did Walter Brottier and Daniel Flaks.
Rows 2 and 3 consist of 100 km of the gas pipeline of Federal integration Tío Pujio-La Carlota, of a diameter of 36 inches, which will link the Pipeline to the Centre-West, with the gas Pipeline to the North, in the province of Córdoba.
The project is completed with a loop lying parallel to the Pipeline North in Córdoba 62 km, the reversal of 4 compressor plants of the same duct and the 22-km remaining on the Pipeline Tío Pujio-a Charlotte.
The Reversal of the Pipeline North is a complementary work to the Pipeline, as President Néstor Kirchner to bring the gas from Vaca Muerta to the industries of Córdoba, Tucumán, La Rioja, Catamarca, Santiago del Estero, Salta and Jujuy, for the generation of electrical energy, the connection of new homes and the scale development of new industrial activities, especially the mining of lithium. In addition, with this work will be an important saving of foreign exchange and you will be able to export gas to countries in the region.
