Strategic decision of the new directory of IEASA (Ex ENARSA) manages to historic lows in the purchase of LNG

As a result of the invitation to tender carried out on the day of the date for the acquisition of 11 ships of LNG for the year 2020, it is achieved to award to the lowest price in the history of IEASA, hovering around the average value for the $ 3 per Million BTU.

Considering that the tender was scheduled to be held the first day of the month of march, the new authorities decided to postpone the same by reason of the slowdown of the economy of the people's Republic of China and the low international price of oil.

The slowdown of the chinese economy has forced the asian giant to reject shipments of LNG that occurred in the market with a glut of the same. Consequently the result of the postponement of the bid for 10 days led to get the lowest price in history.

Such shipments will be destined to supply the domestic demand during the winter months. The first shipments are expected in the month of may.
