Energy Argentina signed an agreement with the municipality of Ensenada to cede sections of pipe 15 meters long, which will be used for construction of water and sanitation. The tubes were abandoned by the previous management after the sale of the Thermal power plant in Ensenada de Barragán, which was property of the state energy company.
The signing of the agreement took place at the Palacio Municipal de Ensenada, between the mayor Mario Secco and Gaston Leydet, deputy general manager of Energy Argentina.
Through the agreement, the Municipality may incorporate the pipes to the works of water and sanitation infrastructure that carries forward, at the same time that Energy Argentina will avoid the costs of maintenance of these facilities.
In this way, Energy Argentina continues to put in value inputs that were in the process of selling various assets and the neglect of works of the previous management, maneuvers that affected the heritage of the state-owned company. In this case, the value of inputs is produced by a scheme which allows to improve the lives of the inhabitants of Ensenada, in a joint work with the municipality.
It should be recalled that in 2017 the then IEASA, in the framework of a process of sale of several of the assets of the state-owned company, transferred the plant Ensenada de Barragán to the company CCT BARRAGAN S. A, although new private owners give up to incorporate the cooling System of the plant, by freezing, sort of, so their construction and remain the property of IEASA the materials and the responsibility over the works carried out up to that time.
