The management of the international purchases of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), which conducts Energy Argentina, obtained the certification of ISO 9001:2015, a rigorous international standard of quality that validates the competence and reliability of the processes carried on by the company in this matter.
The project was launched in 2022 with the development of a System of Quality Management, bringing together an interdisciplinary team and cross-sectional, in order to comply with the requirements set out in ISO 9001:2015. The 21 of December of 2022, the directory of Energy of Argentina approved the Quality Policy, establishing the direction and intentions of the company in connection with that area.
The design and implementation of the system of quality demanded considerable effort to identify, establish and define the processes as well as optimize their records and associated documents. Also, we designed systems to web development and it worked on the integration and documentation of the responsibilities in the processes of various areas, both internal and external.
In June and August of 2023 had been successfully completed Phases I and II of the External Audits carried out by the Certifying Agency IRAM (Argentine Institute of Standardization and Certification). This resulted in the obtaining of the certificates of IRAM and IQNET, to the System of Quality Management, with a range in the processes relating to the “International tendering and award of cargoes of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), to contribute to the energy balance of the Republic of Argentina”.
This certification reflects the commitment of Energy Argentina with international standards, leading to a more efficient organization, focused on meeting the needs and expectations of customers and stakeholders. All this, while managing the minimization of the risks, optimization of resources and strengthening of the commitment and motivation of our human talent.
The management of this project was to be led by the Direction of Procedures and Continuous Improvement, in collaboration with the Direction of Gas and Electric Power, the Management of Human Resources and the Management of Information Technology and Communications. Each area played a crucial role with roles and responsibilities defined.
