On the day of the date IEASA has signed an addendum to, the contract of work, which has as its aim the revival of the formal construction of the dams located on the Santa Cruz River. In fact, during the next few weeks both the foundry, Nestor Kirchner and Jorge Cepernic will increase its number of workers as well as the level of work and execution of these.
The project, located in the Province of Santa Cruz, with Chinese financing for the four thousand, seven hundred million dollars, and has as its goal the generation of 1310mw of clean energy.
The President of IEASA, Dr. Augustine Gerez said “The signing of this addendum means to start down the road toward the construction definitive of both dams. The fronts of work in Néstor Kirchner will allow financial health of the project and all of the commercial actors involved in the work. And in addition, the creation of more than 2,800 direct jobs and 10,000 indirect expressing the will with which we carry forward our management.”
The impact of the works once entry into operation it will be extremely important in the energy matrix. The energy of the dams “Hydro power stations, the Santa Cruz River – PRESIDENT DR. NÉSTOR CARLOS KIRCHNER and GOVERNOR JORGE CEPERNIC”, will generate a saving in the cost of generation in the system of 7.5% during the first 10 years of activity and then on the eleventh year, this savings will reach 16%.
