IEASA has signed an agreement with the prestigious German institute Fraunhofer, for the technical and economic development of a project for production of hydrogen green. The same will be from wind power generation, dedicated to this purpose, in the area of Bahía Blanca, Province of Buenos Aires, where IEASA has an area of 200 hectares with 2.5 km to the sea front that go to the Hub-Hydrogen. Evaluated in a second stage, the potential of other projects of similar characteristics in our country.
The Fraunhofer Institute has more than 29,000 employees who are dedicated to the research of applied sciences. In an unprecedented agreement, IEASA will actively participate in the processes of analysis, during which there will be a significant transfer of knowledge. This strengthens our view on the collective construction of the future.
The President of IEASA, Dr. Augustine Gerez said “We are at the start of a new era in the energy field, and we have to have an essential role by concrete facts that tend to transform realities. This project of sustainable energy will be the vector of the energy transition in the Republic of Argentina and a great contribution to the reduction of carbon emissions at the global level, by means of their industrial application and eventual export of ammonia green, positioning our Country as a central actor in the goal of zero net carbon emissions by 2050.”
It also highlighted “In march of the current year, to assume, we incorporate the hydrogen as part of our social goals, and today, after months of work, we begin to realise one of our axes management. In addition, it is a huge privilege to work in collaboration with one of the Institutes of development of knowledge more important on the planet”. Finally, he added that “the world begins to consolidate the migration of the project financing of fossil fuels to sustainable, which obliges the traditional companies in the sector to transform itself and adapt to create an alternative future is possible and Argentina could not be alienated.”
