The Pipeline, as President Néstor Kirchner, the main work of energy transformation is underway in our country, has a new milestone: in the town of Doblas, La Pampa (km 440 of the trace), was put into operation a welding machine, automatic pipe, a technology that is used for the first time in Argentina.
It is a system of welding, automated, latest generation, brought from the united States, that allows to reduce the construction time by increasing the number of tubes can be welded by day, minimizing errors and giving predictability to the rhythm of production.
This equipment and other similar are used in sections 1 and 2 of the work, which goes from the kilometer 0 of the trace in Tratayén, Neuquén, until the km 440 in The Pampa, the two most extensive of the Pipeline, as President Néstor Kirchner, who carries on the UTE Techint and Sacde. The advantage of this system is that it ensures the production and consistent quality.
The automatic welding works on two levels: on the inner with a simultaneous 8 solder points on the entire circumference, and the outer one with two units, with two solder points each, orbiting the outer side of the tube to complete the process. Then the welds are verified through an ultrasound system, which guarantees its quality.
These devices are moving to advancing the work in each of the segments and add to the soles of double board that allow welding on an industrial pipe 12 feet of 36-inch diameter on a single piece of 24 meters long, which are then carried to the trace where it is welded together with the automated system.
Weeks ago, we started the welding with the conventional system in Salliqueló, in the third stage of the work, which extends from the km 440 of the trace in The Pampa to the town of buenos aires.
With an area of 573 km, the Pipeline, as President Néstor Kirchner, in charge of Energy Argentina, will save more than 2,900 million dollars a year in replacement of the import of fuels and reduction of subsidies, an increase in the availability of gas at competitive prices, and generates 10 thousand direct jobs and another 40 thousand indirect, between the construction of the work and the increased gas production in Vaca Muerta.
