The first welding of pipes of the gas Pipeline President Néstor Kirchner was finalized in Salliqueló, the town bonaerese where you installed one of the fronts of work and where it will end pipeline that starts in Neuquén and it also includes the provinces of Río Negro and La Pampa.
It is of the pipe is 36 inches from 12 feet long, manufactured at the plant of Tenaris-SIAT Valentin Alsina, who are part of the 48 billion which will require the work. The tubes are then transferred to the different centers of the collection of the trace where are the soldiers on the surface forming sections, then are placed in the trenches.
This important milestone in the process of the work, took place in the vicinity of Salliqueló, corresponding to the third stage of the pipeline, which goes from the km 440 of the trace until the compressor plant Saturn.
In parallel, and as part of the concurrent jobs that are developed in the work in all the sections, continue mobilizing equipment and set up camps in sections 1 and 2. The first stretch of the GPNK will have a length of 573 km, and join the town neuquén of Tratayén to Salliqueló in the province of Buenos Aires, crossing the Rio Negro and La Pampa.
This project, which is in charge of the public company Energy Argentina, will save more than 2,900 million dollars a year in replacement of the import of fuels and reduction of subsidies, an increase in the availability of gas at competitive prices to industry, businesses and households, and to generate 10 thousand direct jobs and another 40 thousand indirect, between the construction of the work and the increased gas production in Vaca Muerta.
